ControllerMate v4.3.10 Released

Today, OrderedBytes announces a minor update to ControllerMate.

New in ControllerMate v4.3.10 (9.8 MB):

  • [NEW] ControllerMate's Controller Configurations are now able to turn off each pointer and scrolling axes of a mouse independently from each other. This allows behavior such as limiting cursor movement to be a single axis, or disabling horizontal scrolling while retaining vertical scrolling.
  • [NEW] Cursor building blocks may now be configured to move the cursor to a location relative to any of a window's four corners. Previously, all locations had to be defined relative to the top-left corner.
  • [IMPROVED] Application building blocks and application-specific groups can now detect when an AppleScript that has been saved as an application is launched or quit.
  • [FIXED] Fixed a bug that caused the loss of custom names of controls on virtual devices.

  • [NEW] Added compatibility with the World of Warcraft MMO Gaming Mouse. ControllerMate can now set the color, intensity, and pulse rate of the mouse's LEDs.
  • [FIXED] Fixed a bug that caused excessive CPU use by the helper application in certain situations.
  • [FIXED] Fixed a bug that prevented ControllerMate from properly applying mouse or keyboard customizations in certain situations.

ControllerMate v4.3.8 (9.7 MB) includes a fix for a general performance issue with the background helper application for users running Mac OS X 10.5.

New in ControllerMate v4.3.7 (9.7 MB):

  • [FIXED] Fixed a bug that prevented a Controller Configuration from working correctly after its device is unplugged and reattached.
  • [FIXED] Fixed a bug that prevented ControllerMate from correctly distinguishing between two identical Microsoft Xbox 360 controllers.
  • [IMPROVED] Decreased the load time of pages that contain a large number of building blocks.
  • [IMPROVED] Decreased the load time of Controller Configurations that contain a large number of controls.

Users who downloaded a preliminary version of v4.3.7 should check the build number (click the version number in the About window) to make sure they have build 4EBE.

New in ControllerMate v4.3.5 (10.0 MB):

  • [FIXED] Fixed a bug that prevented ControllerMate from properly interpreting an AppleScript that contains non-ASCII characters.
  • [FIXED] Fixed a bug that caused ControllerMate to become unresponsive when a Number Exchange building block was configured with certain values.
